Dark like black-cherry skins. More dark and cedary with all that Cabernet Sauvignon. A big wine but with finely dry tannin texture, which brings an elegance to the power. And the alcohol is surprisingly well integrated. Chewy, deep and tannic but not tough. Not particularly refreshing but then it is 2018. Not for wimps. Needs time. 16.5/20 Jancis Robinson

Ideally located in the northwest of the Saint-Julien appellation, Château Moulin Riche is composed of 20 hectares of vineyard in a single block. From this terroir are born wines that are absolutely delectable, yet still echoing the elegant, structured style of the appellation.
At one time, it was the second wine of Château Léoville Poyferré, but later regained its independence as a ‘grand vin’ in its own right with the 2009 vintage.
The 2018 vintage displays a new label, a “negative space” inspired creation, to highlight this wine’s own identity. Read more.
