A muscular Saint-Julien with a ton of character
"Sweet tobacco and dark berries with currant and violet undertones. Full body, layers of tannins and a solid center-palate, showing an interplay of fruit and tannins. This needs time to soften. One of the best I have had from here."

Food Pairing: Perfect with classic meat dishes such as roasted rib of beef, grilled lamb chops with thyme, or a tender magret de canard with a red fruit reduction. For a cheese course, it is best served alongside aged hard cheeses such as Comté or Gouda | 🌡️ The wine should be served at around 16°C to 18°C
STORY BEHIND THE WINE
While Château Moulin Riche is bottled and sold as its own, unique brand, until quite recently, that was not the case. The wine was really thought of as the unofficial second wine of Chateau Leoville Poyferre. That changed with the already, legendary 2009 vintage.
In that year, it was decided that Moulin Riche would be produced from its own specific vineyard parcels. Today, the second wine of Château Léoville Poyferré is Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré.
