Bodegas Peñafiel Miros de Ribera Roble Tinto 2021 is a soft elegant Tempranillo red wine that represents the essence of the Ribera del Duero region. This wine is the "baby of the bunch" when it comes to ageing, spending only six months in French oak barrels, which give it a touch of vanilla and spice. On the nose, it displays abundant dark fruit and wild berries, while on the palate, it has a core of ripe dark plums, cherries, and blackberries. This full-bodied wine has a umami-flavoured finish and pairs excellently with chicken tikka masala, beef goulash, and lamb burgers.

Caruso & Minini Cutaja Riserva Nero d'Avola 2017 is a rich and full-bodied red wine that showcases the best of Sicilian viticulture. The wine boasts a deep colour and a medium acidity, with black fruits such as bramble, blackcurrant, and mulberry at its core, and a hint of liquorice, carob, and bergamot. The wine is aged for 18 months in American and French oak barrels, which adds charcoal, tobacco, cocoa, and vanilla notes and a touch of spiciness to the finish. Ox-cheek ragu, aubergine parmigiana, baked pasta, or grilled game make excellent food pairings.

The Chateau Puygueraud 2016is a rich wine that comes from the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. This wine has a straight-lined and elegant palate with ample energy and fruit within structuring tannins. The wine is a blend of Merlot in the majority with Cabernet Franc and a touch of Malbec. It has received 94 points from James Suckling and was Wine of the week for Tom Doorley in the Irish Mail on Sunday. This wine pairs perfectly with roast duck, even Chinese-style crispy duck pancakes.

The Quinta dos Avidagos Reserva Branco 2019is a white wine that represents the best of Portuguese wine-making. This wine has a lemon-yellow colour and a scent of white flowers, stone fruit, and cut grass. On the palate, it offers yellow apples, peaches, and pears, with a light touch of oak and warm toast and vanilla notes. It has a saline and persistent finish that balances out its creamy texture. This wine is a blend of native grapes from Portugal and pairs perfectly with seafood and grilled fish.

Caruso & Minini's Grillo is a fresh and young wine with light lemon, apple, herb, and citrus blossom aromas. It has delicate flavors of grapefruit, peaches, acacia, oak, and nutty flavors from maturation. This wine is perfect for drinking now and has a mouth-watering acidity. It is made exclusively from organically-grown grapes and has received 91 points from Vinous in July 2022. Wine critic Tom Doorley has also named it "Wine of the Week" in Irish Daily Mail in May 2022. The ideal food pairing for this wine includes grilled octopus salad, swordfish, grilled chicken and peach salad, or goat's cheese with walnuts and honey. It is exclusively shipped to Ireland by Whelehans Wines.

Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2021 is a classic dry aromatic Marlborough wine with juicy and intense citrus flavors and refreshing saline acidity. The wine is perfect to enjoy with fresh seafood or as a pre-dinner aperitif. The grapes are handpicked from eight vineyards within the Wairau Valley and whole bunch pressed, cold settled before fermentation and 4 months aging in stainless steel tanks. A portion of the wine is fermented using indigenous yeast, and it's bottled without fining. The wine is ideal to enjoy now or over the coming 2-3 years and is perfect to pair with seafood or goats cheese. This wine is produced by James Healy and Ivan Sutherland, who met while working in Cloudy Bay, and all the fruit is handpicked from low-yielding organic vines from the Sutherland family farm.

These wines are perfect for any wine lover who wants to experience the best of what the wine world has to offer.

In conclusion, At Whelehans Wines, we offer a unique selection of wines in our lovely March Case that tells a story of tradition, terroir, and innovation, where each bottle represents the passion and dedication of winemakers from different regions.
