STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Signature is an iconic Australian wine, with a proud history from its first release in 1962. Quite possibly the quintessential Australian Shiraz Cabernet blend, The Sig shows vibrant Barossa aromas of dark fruit and spice and a concentrated palate that is long and deeply flavoured. With the ability to age wonderfully well, The Signature is a deserving part of any wine aficionados collection.
Beautifully polished with burnished tannins and fully integrated varietal ingredients. Quite aromatic with a hint of one of the spices in a Fishermans Friend throat lozenge and sweet leather but overall delightfully subtle. Very long and particularly throat-warming. Not the sort of wine you would sip without food but a triumph for those looking for something to accompany a strongly flavoured dish – or even blue cheese. 17.5/20 Points Jancis Robinson
