On the palate , this powerful and complex wine delivers beautiful notes of kirsch and bitter cocoa . The tannins are soft and silky with a balanced acidity adding freshness . A wonderfully long savoury finish.

Family-owned by the Bernard family for 10 generations, Chateau Beauchene is one of the oldest and most historic vineyards in the Rhone. One glance at the Chateau itself and its picture–perfect surroundings, you would be forgiven for thinking that their wines would be priced beyond the reach of most drinkers, but not so. The Terrior is made from grapes grown at the extreme limit of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, benefiting from the same terroir.
