"At the forefront of the "Vinifera Revolution", Dr Konstantin Frank revitalised winemaking in the Finger Lakes after moving from Ukraine in the 1950s. This has a most interesting bouquet of orchard aromas and a lingering slate minerality with a modicum of petrol smokiness plus fresh lime zest. The palate is decidedly fresh and crisp, with Granny Smith apple fruit and exciting tartness plus a mild creaminess rounding out the structure. Left field but thrilling, pair this with summer salads, poultry or white fish. "
