The classic burgundian mix of elegance and power.
A complex floral nose of rose and clove greets you. Deeply plush with red-fruit character of raspberries and currants on the palate the tannins are well structured. With an earthy wildness here, this will benefit from some decanting.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Domaine Tortochot is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, a small town with a big reputation. From modest beginnings in the 19th Century, the Tortochot family now have 4 village level appellations in the region as well as a world-wide reputation. This wine is sourced from their Premier Cru site Les Champeaux. Now run by Chantal, she oversaw the conversion to organic farming back in 2013. A rare feat in itself given the challenges in the region. A signature characteristic of this wine is the expression of fruit purity, whether you enjoy it now or in a few years’ time. That is, if you dont give in to temptation.
