A lovely fruity taste. Kept on drinking over several glasses.
heard Jean Smullen give glowing review on Moncrieff's Movies & Booze segment on Newstalk. She was spot on!
It reminds me to Burgundy. Mineral, lovely acidity, and tropical fruits.

Tropical and stone fruit aromas evolving from passion fruit and melon to yellow fresh peach and grapefruit. A beautifully structured palate with lively acidity and freshness results in an exceptional summer wine. A true expression of Simonsig terroir.

Synonymous with South African wine, Simonsig is a quintessential wine estate in historic Stellenbosch. While the founders and producers the Malan family have a wide range of wines on their portfolio. Run by brothers Johan and Francois Malan, their late father Frans founded the estate back in 1964. As a reflection of the estate’s pedigree, Frans is credited with producing South Africa’s first sparkling Méthode Cap Classique in the style of Champagne, in 1971.
