    Prestige of French Wines

A selection of France’s finest, from the mineral-driven Domaine du Colombier Chablis Grand Cru "Bougros" and elegant Domaine Remy Gresser Riesling Grand Cru "Wiebelsberg", to the vibrant Château Brown Blanc and refined Róisín Curley Beaune. Bold reds include the smoky Domaine Verzier St Joseph and powerful Château Moulin Riche. Each bottle delivers elegance, depth, and distinction.

    The case includes

Domaine du Colombier, "Bougros", Grand Cru Chablis, 2023

Fine mineral aromas with citrus and stone fruit notes. On the palate there is a depth of flavour expected of a grand cru, supported by fresh acidity and a mineral core. Very long finish.

    • 100% Chardonnay

Domaine Remy Gresser, "Wiebelsberg" Grand Cru Riesling, 2021

Elegance and finesse characterise this wine. The nose is floral and the mouth delicate. The long persistence is supported by the characteristic minerality of the Vosges sandstone.

    • 100% Riesling
    • Organically & Biodynamically farmed
    • Indigenous yeasts
    • Aged on fine lees in oak barrels

    Château Brown, Blanc, 2021

Zingy and focused, with white nectarine, peach and lemon peel notes streaming through, laced with flashes ofbitter almond and quinine on the finish. Distinctive and delicious. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.
    - JM, Wine Spectator

    • Blend of 68% Sauvignon Blanc, 32% Sémillon
    • 90-91 points - Bettane & Desseauve  - May 2022

Róisín Curley, Beaune "Les Prevoles", 2022

This elegant wine showcases an array of dark fruits, complemented by hints of fresh earth and subtle spice. Medium-bodied with a silky, smooth texture. This wine is made with 30% whole bunch fermentation, to add floral characters and increases the perception of brightness and fruit flavours.

    • 2 years in old oak

Domaine Verzier, St Joseph "Empreintes", 2022

"Thoroughly engaging with masses of enticing dark fruit underscored by a flourish of minty herbals.Muscular and broad-shouldered with a fluency of fibrous tannins, a tang of lip-smacking acidity and a gorgeous smoky violet finish."

    Château Moulin Riche, 2018

Dark like black-cherry skins. More dark and cedary with all that Cabernet Sauvignon. A big wine but with finely dry tannin texture, which brings an elegance to the power. And the alcohol is surprisingly well integrated. Chewy, deep and tannic but not tough. Not particularly refreshing but then it is 2018. Not for wimps. Needs time. 16.5/20 Jancis Robinson

    • 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot
    • French oak for 18 to 20 months
    • Full-bodied with fine tannin texture
    • Mentioned by Cathal McBride on the Business Post
