The wine is garnet red with initial blueberry dominance on the nose, evolving into red fruits, violet, and black cherry. The finish is long, featuring coffee and oak notes. It's pure, inviting, with sweeping acidity, soft, ripe tannins—a rich and vibrant Brunello.
Cellaring: Now to 2033
Food Pairing: Grilled or roasted meats, such as steak, lamb, or game; pasta with rich sauces; truffle-infused dishes; or aged cheeses, such as Parmesan or Pecorino.
Tenuta Giorgio was founded in 1982 by Guido Folonari and is located in the south-eastern part of Montalcino. The vines cover 24 hectares with a further 26 hectares of olive groves. New owners, ColleMassari, have invested heavily in the vineyard and winery, and it shows in their wines.
