    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Ridge Vineyards is one of California’s most iconic wineries, founded in 1962 and celebrated for its exceptional wines from the Santa Cruz Mountains and Sonoma. Best known for its old-vine Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon, Ridge takes a traditional, terroir-driven approach, allowing the vineyards to shine.

The grapes from the Lytton Springs Vineyard from the Dry Creek Valley are destemmed and the whole berries are fermented with their native yeast, then pressed after 11 days. The wine is aged in air-dried American oak barrels for 14 months (20% two-year-old, 20% three-year-old, 15% new, 15% one-year-old, 15% four-year-old and 15% five-year-old).
