STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Founded in 1849 by the son of a notary, Pol Roger has spent nearly two centuries earning a reputation as one of the finest, most respected names in Champagne. Based in the heart of Épernay, it remains one of the rare iconic houses to be entirely family-owned and run by the founder's descendants today.

Pol Roger's distinct style has long captured the attention of royalty and historic figures alike. The house was a favorite of Sir Winston Churchill - who famously called their Avenue de Champagne address "the most drinkable address in the world" - and held the Royal Warrant as an official purveyor to Queen Elizabeth II.
