Deep loam soils lend a supple structure and inviting depth, yielding a wonderfully round and harmonious red with velvety smooth tannins.       STORY BEHIND THE LABEL 

      Run by oenologists Doris Eymael and her son Jan, this 250-year-old estate boasts one of the highest quality wines in the Pfalz. The Pfeffingen winery is located in Ungstein, just outside Bad Dürkheim in the Pfalz region and is part of the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP); a German organisation which promotes the country's top wines and estates. It unites 197 of Germany's finest wineries under one banner; offering customers guarantees on quality and yield.
