    A fresh, full-bodied and pleasantly fruity Bordeaux blend from Tuscany

    This blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese offers a profile of ripe currants and cherries layered with sweet cedar spice, oak, and earthy undertones. The palate is "classic" and juicy, showcasing vibrant red fruits and toasty oak alongside well-balanced tannins and a spiced finish.

    • Blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese
    • Aged 12 months in used second and third passage barriques, and 30 and 50 hl barrels. 
    Cellaring:  Drink now to 2034
    Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with classic Tuscan dishes like pappardelle with wild boar ragù or grilled Bistecca alla Fiorentina. Also delicious with herb-roasted lamb, mushroom lasagna, or aged pecorino cheese. For a simpler pairing, try it alongside a charcuterie board featuring fennel salami and prosciutto. | 🌡️ Serve at a temperature around 16-18ºC.

     

    STORY BEHIND THE LABEL

    Named after the Latin word for stone, Petra symbolises the solid foundation of work shared by father-and-daughter team Vittorio and Francesca Moretti. The estate sits on land steeped in history, bearing traces of civilisations stretching from ancient Greece and Etruria to France.

    This ambitious project seeks to capture the unique essence of a truly exceptional wine-growing region. To achieve this, Vittorio Moretti enlisted Professor Attilio Scienza, the foremost expert in vineyard zoning, to lead the agronomic research. The winery itself, designed by renowned architect Mario Botta, stands as a stunning monument to both professional craftsmanship and Tuscan hospitality.
