    Luján de Cuyo is a historic wine region and the Americas' first officially controlled appellation (Denominación de Origen Controlada or D.O.C.), established in 1993. Located just south of Mendoza City, Argentina, and nestled at the foothills of the Andes, it is globally celebrated as the birthplace and premier heartland of Argentine Malbec.
