An elegant medium bodied red from the winemakers at Diamantas. Red fruit aromas of sour cherry, raspberry and plum give an alluring introduction and are beautifully complimented by floral notes of violet and rose that would remind you of a classic Barolo .On the finish, the wine reveals intriguing notes of leather and baking spices which bring a sense of sophistication to the tasting experience. Delightfully balanced , with robust tannins and a bright acidity , this wine will age very well and will develop more nuance and complexity over time.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
From 1670, the wine-growing region of Siatista has been crafting stellar vintages. It wasn't until the start of the 20th century when Dimitrios Diamantis' grandfather planted the family's first vineyard that magenta magic truly began. Regrettably, by the 70s, production halted leaving most of the old vines untouched. Yet, in the 90s, Dimitrios returned to Magoutes, determined to revive the nearly forgotten grapes. With his business partner George Papageorgiou, their team replanted 18 ha on the slopes, with the Magoutes Vineyard taking pride atop rocky, limestone soils at 750-890m above sea-level. Organic farming techniques, coupled with the extreme climate, help produces vintages without interference or manipulation, ensuring every sip is pure and true.
