“Plenty of cassis, dark cherries and blueberries with some dried flowers as well. It’s medium-bodied with round tannins. Mellow and succulent with plenty of juicy berries at the center supported by fresh acidity and a spicy lift towards the finish. From organically grown grapes. No sulfites added. Drink or hold.”

Château du Cèdre was founded 1973 by Charles Verhaeghe and is currently run by his sons Pascal and Jean-Marc. Pascal, trained in viticulture and winemaking at Jean-Marie Guffens and then in Napa Valley, and Jean-Marc, a graduate of La Tour Blanche in Sauternes, have the necessary knowledge and desire to manage the vineyard. The objective of Pascal and Jean-Marc is to exploit the full potential of the Malbec grape. To achieve this, no oenological inputs are used during the vinification process. Wine production is carried out with indigenous yeasts and without added sulphites.
