    Fascinating and delicately sweet late-harvest from Puglia - A True Gem! 

    The Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale Madrigale from Produttori di Manduria is crafted from late-harvest grapes, allowing for a concentrated sugar content. On the nose, it offers notes of dried figs and dates, plum jam, and violets, with subtle hints of spice and cocoa. The palate surprises with a refined and delicate sweetness, accompanied by a light freshness that makes every sip pleasant and satisfying. 

    "Rich ruby with a garnet tinge. A rich bouquet, with notes of plum confit and stewed figs, charred wood, meaty and earthy notes. A noticeable sweetness dominates on the palate, then grippy tannins, concentrated fruit, and a long, lingering finish."

    STORY BEHIND THE LABEL 

    Produttori di Manduria is Puglia's oldest cooperative, set up in 1932 with just 17 growers, who, nowadays have over 400 members who collectively, cultivate more than 2,000 hectares of vines. Many of them are small growers and farm organically. The winery showcases the rich wine heritage of the Puglia region and is renowned for producing high-quality wines from the Primitivo grape, especially Primitivo di Manduria. In 2020 Produttori di Manduria was awarded the Tre Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso. 

    The Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale Madrigale by Produttori di Manduria is a true gem - a historic wine revived by the winery as part of its ongoing mission to celebrate local heritage and the terroir. Primitivo grapes from 50-year-old vines are harvested late to ensure a high sugar concentration.
