STORY BEHIND THE WINE

A historic Northern Rhone house founded in 1808, still in the ownership of the Chapoutier family. This is an estate that is going from strength to strength and many would argue that it is in its golden phase. The Côte-Rôtie vineyard area is certainly one of the oldest in France (over 2,000 years). “Les Bécasses” is a blend of several parcels growing on well-exposed slopes which have made the Côte-Rôtie appellation famous.
