Luscious and beautifully velvety Vin Doux Naturel from the Rhône Valley

The wine presents a brilliant, pale golden hue in the glass, releasing an intensely aromatic bouquet of fresh white peach, juicy apricot, and exotic lychee, accented by elegant notes of orange blossom and wild honey. On the palate, it is luscious and beautifully velvety, offering rich flavours of candied fruits and fresh grapes that are perfectly balanced by a lively, crisp acidity, keeping the wine vibrant and preventing any heaviness. The experience concludes with a long, remarkably clean finish, lingering with notes of exotic fruit and a subtle, elegant warmth.

    • 100% Muscat à petits grains
    Cellaring:  Drink now to 2034
Food Pairing: Superb with fresh melon and prosciutto, apricot tarts, pear tarte tatin, and creamy blue cheeses like Roquefort. It also goes beautifully with light fruit-based desserts, lemon tarts, or moderately spiced Asian dishes. | 🌡️ The wine should be served chilled, at around 7°C.

    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

A unique jewel of the southern Rhône Valley, the world-renowned Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise is crafted exclusively from 100% hand-harvested Muscat à petits grains grapes, which must reach a natural sugar concentration of over 525 g/L. This Vin Doux Naturel begins with the same vinification process as dry white wines, but fermentation is stopped through mutage -the addition of pure, 96% strength alcohol when the musts reach 5% to 10% alcohol. This meticulous process, preserved since the appellation’s official 1945 creation (retroactive to 1943), yields a flourishing, historic wine on ancient terraces that must contain a minimum of 100 g/L of residual sugar and a final acquired alcohol content of at least 15%.
