STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
In Burgundian terms, reds from the village of Pommard in the fabled Cote d'Or have a character all of their own. They are distinctly identifiable by depth of flavour, structure and ageing ability. The Refènes premier cru vineyards sit on the edge of this ancient village. Managed by Domaine Latour-Giraud, the estate owns an impressive range of Premier Cru and Villages vineyards in the region. They also have an edge over their peers in the form of perfectionist winemaker Jean-Pierre Latour. Since taking over he has made a major commitment to improving quality, and adopting organic practices. The results speak for themselves
