The nose is expressive, fragrant and powerful, with aromas of toast and brioche, stone fruits, verbena, vanilla pastry cream, French toast and rum baba.On the palate, this champagne is smooth, creamy, and generous, expressing flavours that echo the nose. Nuances of juicy fruit, peach in syrup, and ripe citrus give way to notes of beeswax, toast, and pine nut. A rich and precise texture, with a clean, lemony finish. 

STORY BEHIND THE LABEL

Krug Grande Cuvée was born from the dream of a man, Joseph Krug, who wished to offer, every year, the best possible champagne, regardless of climatic hazards.Maison Krug therefore pays homage to its vision by offering, each year, a new edition of Krug Grande Cuvée, the most generous expression of champagne.

Created around the 2017 harvest, Krug Grande Cuvée 173rd ^Edition is a blend of 150 wines from 13 different years. The youngest dates from 2017 and the oldest from the 2001 vintage.In total, reserve wines from the House's extensive library represent 31% of the final blend, contributing the essential breadth and roundness to each Krug Grande Cuvée Edition.
