On the palate, a high proportion of robust pot still whiskey harmonizes with small-batch grain spirit, unleashing layers of charred oak, deep spices, and exotic tropical fruit. The double-flame-charred bourbon barrels impart an amplified sweetness and velvety complexity, leading into an extraordinarily smooth, warm, and lingering finish.

STORY BEHIND THE LABEL

In 1966, historic competing Dublin producers including Jameson (from Bow Street) and Powers (from John’s Lane) joined forces with Cork Distillers to form Irish Distillers to protect the declining Irish whiskey industry. Distillation was subsequently consolidated in 1975 at Midleton, making it the central engine room for traditional Irish spirit production. Today, Midleton is Ireland's largest distillery complex, responsible for producing not only the global flagship Jameson brand, but also iconic single pot still labels like Redbreast, Powers, and the Spot range (Green Spot, Yellow Spot), as well as prestige releases such as Midleton Very Rare.
