Opulent Yet Fresh Chardonnay From Oldest Wine Estate in South Africa

This Chardonnay exhibits a mineral and chalky quality with orange blossom and butterscotch aromas. On the palate, butterscotch is prominent with citrus and toasted almonds with a hint of vanilla , complemented by a vibrant acidity. Richly textured with a long buttery finish.

BEHIND THE WINE

Groot Constantia is testimony of Simon van der Stel’s love for wine who established South Africa’s first wine farm in 1685. Compelling evidence of the success of South Africa’s oldest wine being Emperors and Kings such as Frederick the Great of Prussia and Louis Phillipe (King of France) buying ‘Constantia Wyn’ at auctions across Europe. It is now one of South Africa’s most visited tourist attractions.
