It's a perfectly well-balanced Tempranillo. Ripe red fruit with hints of spice and a gentle touch of wood. Tannins are smooth, still slightly granular, balanced with a juicy and spiced mouth feeling acidity. Long and pleasant finishing. El Ribazo is made from the best vineyards of our exclusive producer Bodegas de La Marquesa."
opened it on a sunny summer's evening, with a view to having a tasting glass. I was "assaulted" with a torrent of flavours - who would have thought the humble gamay grape could be so spectacular?! I took a chance on it and have to say, it is a fabulous wine. @27 euros, very good value.
A lovely fruity taste. Kept on drinking over several glasses.
heard Jean Smullen give glowing review on Moncrieff's Movies & Booze segment on Newstalk. She was spot on!
