Fresh, mineral and complex Barolo supported by firm tannins

The high sand content initially gives the wine intense, fruity aromas, which become more spicy as it matures This Barolo opens with aromas of rose petals, red cherry, dried herbs, and subtle spice. The palate shows layers of ripe red berries, licorice, and earthy minerality supported by firm, fine-grained tannins. Fresh acidity provides balance and length, leading to a persistent finish with notes of tobacco and dried flowers.

    • 100 % Nebbiolo
    • Fermentation in temperature-controlled cement or stainless steel tanks with skin contact for 25-30 days
    • Aged 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels
    • Kerin O'Keefe | 92Pts

    Cellaring:  Drink now to 2038
Food Pairing: Exceptional with slow-braised beef, osso buco, wild boar ragù, or a dry-aged ribeye steak with truffle butter. It also pairs wonderfully with earthy wild mushroom risotto, rich duck confit, or aged hard cheeses like Fontina and 24-month Parmigiano-Reggiano. | 🌡️ Best served at cool room temperature, around 16°C to 18°C (decanting recommended at least 2 hours before serving).

    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Francesco Rinaldi & Figli is one of the truly great names in Piedmont, situated in the iconic town of Barolo. Established in 1870, the estate boasts a long and illustrious history. After founder Giovanni Rinaldi constructed the original winery and cellar, management passed to his youngest son, Francesco, in 1922. Today, Francesco’s grandnieces, Paola and Piera, run the historic estate. While remaining deeply proud of their traditional roots, they have broadened the winery's horizons to showcase the full, vibrant diversity of the region.

Sourced from 3 hectares of prized vines planted between 1980 and 1990, this 2022 Barolo brings together the finest terroirs of La Morra, Barolo, and Castiglione Falletto. The wine draws its signature elegance from a tapestry of soils - sandy, sandstone-rich plots yield aromatic finesse, while clay and limestone lend depth and structure. Fermented with extended 25–30 day skin contact and aged for three years in traditional 5,000-litre Slavonian oak barrels, this 100% Nebbiolo expresses classic poise. It opens with remarkable harmony, offering a refined, age-worthy Barolo that evolves beautifully in the bottle.
