The Domaine du Colombier has been a family property since 1887. Today three brothers, Jean-Louis, Thierry and Vincent work the 55 hectares of vines planted exclusively to Chardonnay, and produce dry white wines that are clear, lively and light. The winemaking is carried out with great care, with the greatest of respect for the traditional Burgundian methods, allied to the advantages of modern techniques.
"Chablis Grand Cru is arguably the most under-rated of all classic Grand Cru white Burgundies. Piercing limestone acidity, laden with beautifully rich generous golden fruit; it’s a wine that’s quite surprising as one wouldn’t expect such richness from such a cool climate wine, this is where the perfect siting & aspect of Grand Cru Vineyards (such as Bougros) comes into play, maximising sun light hours elevates the fruit concentration & overall depth and quality."
