An Outstanding, Limited-Edition Montsant by Tom Gallagher

In appearance it is light garnet, but the delicate colour belies the depth and complexity of flavours offered by these ancient Grenache vines.Aged for 1 year in French oak barrique, this is silky and deep, with a meddly of red hedgerow fruit flavours. The tannins are firm but silky, balanced by a wonderful refreshing acidity. The finish is long, evolving and complex.

    • 100% Garnacha
    • Fermentation using native yeasts
    • Aged for 1 year in French oak barrique
    • Organically farmed
     Cellaring:  Drink now to 2028
Food Pairing: Pairs perfectly with grilled and roasted red meats like ribeye steak or rosemary lamb chops, hearty slow-cooked stews, roasted Mediterranean vegetables, and cured meats or hard cheeses like Manchego. | 🌡️ Serve at a temperature around 16ºC-18ºC

    STORY BEHIND THE LABEL

This is the very first vintage of a very special wine, crafted from 100% Garnacha grapes from a single, tiny plot of land. The vines are over 100 years old and were planted during World War I.
Tom bought the tiny plot from an old farmer, Ramón, who refused to sell the plot to anyone other than the ‘crazy Irish guy next door’, who would respect his philosophy of farming organically and in tandem with nature.
Unfortunately, Ramón died last year before he could taste the first vintage of Divine, but his image is honoured on the distinctive front label of the wine, which was painted by Barcelona-based Irish artist, Mark Redden.
There are only 999 bottles of this first vintage of Divine, and each bottle is individually numbered.
