Refreshing and energetic Montsant by Roscommon native, Tom Gallagher

Juicy and fruit-forward style, with the red berry fruits of the Garnacha grapes beautifully framed by the cassis and silky tannins of the Cabernet Sauvignon. The finish is dry and long, with a distinct slatey mineral note.

STORY BEHIND THE LABEL

Behind Tomish lies the journey of Tom Gallagher, a Roscommon native who swapped professional rugby for the rugged terrain of Catalonia. Raised with a deep appreciation for nature and hard work, Tom’s life took an unexpected turn during the pandemic when he found himself back in Spain, helping a family friend restore an 11-acre abandoned vineyard.

Diga Montsant is a single-vineyard red wine project, made in the Montsant DO in Catalonia .This single vineyard site that is farmed organically with the help of renowned Catalan winemaker, Toni Coca.The plot borders Priorat, so the soil is a mix of the iconic llicorella slate and clay.
