Luscious and generous Marsanne Viognier
Bright, spicy and vibrant with a lovely long acid and elegance. As vintage progressed the concentration grew and the colour intensified, resulting in more weighty wines without overripe characters.
Food Pairing: Goes well with rich or spicy white meats
Cellaring: Now till 2022.
* "The name references the Rhône region of Hermitage and crustacean fossils found in limestone bedrock below d'Arenberg's vineyards. Barrel-fermentation and ageing in French and American oak makes for a rich, complex Viognier-Marsanne. Goes well with rich or spicy white meats." Aoife Carrigy, Irish Independent, 13th November 2021
STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
D’Arenberg founded in 1912 is one of the McLaren Vale’s reference producers. All the wines of this estate have their own unique ‘colour’ brought to the wines by their owners. Intriguing, moreish and easy to recommend.
