STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Château de Beaucastel stands as one of the Rhône Valley’s defining benchmark estates. Managed by the Perrin family, the historic Châteauneuf-du-Pape property is renowned for incorporating all 13 traditional grape varieties into its blend - a practice that brings remarkable depth, spice, and longevity to the wine. Led by high proportions of Mourvèdre and Syrah, Beaucastel delivers a rare balance of raw power, refined complexity, and clear site identity.

The winemaking follows strict traditional methods: grapes are hand-harvested and sorted before fermenting by varietal in large truncated wooden vats, concrete, and glazed stoneware tanks. After malolactic fermentation, the varieties are masterfully blended and aged for twelve months in large oak foudres. The result is a dense, age-worthy Châteauneuf-du-Pape that seamlessly pairs rich dark fruit and savory leather with fine, structural tannins.
