    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Run continuously by Michel Bernard, his wife Dominique, and their daughter since 1971, Château Beauchêne serves as the family’s winemaking hub for their estates across Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages, and Côtes-du-Rhône. Located near Orange in the southern Rhône Valley, this particular bottling comes from small plots of south-facing old vines rooted in stony clay-limestone soils, farmed under certified Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) standards using natural biocontrols to protect local biodiversity. In the cellar, the grapes are fully de-stemmed before undergoing a 20-day fermentation and maceration, followed by 6 to 12 months of partial aging in French oak barrels.
