Rich, fruity and well-structured Campo de Borja

Very intense cherry color with purple tones. The nose shows a great concentration of aromas of ripe red fruits with floral nuances. On the palate it is a rich and well-structured wine that evokes flavours of blackberry, plum and tones of leather and vanilla, with sweet tannin.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Sourced from old-growth mountain vineyards aged 35 to 60 years and situated at high altitudes between 600 and 700 meters, this wine reflects the character of its complex clay-limestone, stony, and silty soils. The winemaking process features a thorough 20- to 25-day maceration alongside controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks kept between 25º and 30ºC to preserve its distinct varietal expression. To round out its profile with added depth and structure, the wine is subsequently aged for 5 months in brand-new French oak Bordeaux barrels.

Rooted in Campo de Borja since the 12th century, Bodega Borsao spans over 2,000 hectares of prime vineyards across three cellars, exporting to more than 50 countries worldwide. The region's unique climate - blending Atlantic and Mediterranean influences - creates the ideal terroir for Garnacha, a variety that originated here during the Kingdom of Aragon's expansion, earning Campo de Borja its nickname as the "Empire of the Garnacha."
