Powerful, elegant and approachable, Priorat in a bottle

Headily floral and fragrant with ripe berry and crushed violet aromas. Full-bodied with complex spice flavours of liquorice, cinnamon and anise interplaying with a core of dark cherries, plums and wild strawberries. Tannins are stitched seamlessly in and coat the palate on a fresh, velvety finish.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Produced with grapes from 101 plots around 8 villages in Priorat, this is a blend of 55% Garnacha, 15% Syrah, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 8% Cariñena. The real selling point here though is winemaker Alvaro Palacios. Honored as Decanter's Man of the year in 2015, he personifies modern Spanish wine and almost single-handedly put Priorat on the wine map over the last 20 years. "This has to be the finest Camins to date" Wine Advocate (July '21).
