Fresh, soft and velvety red from Puglia

This wine presents a ruby red color with garnet highlights. The nose is intense and intriguing, featuring distinct notes of cherry and black cherry followed by balsamic hints and classic spices like cinnamon, black pepper, and cloves, with a finish of tobacco and toasted notes. On the palate, it is fresh, dry, and savory, offering a harmonious and velvety mouthfeel. Enveloping and well-bodied, it remains soft and balanced with a light, toasted aftertaste.

Blend of 85% Negroamaro and 15% Malvasia Nera
Aged 6 months in large Slavonian oak barrels

STORY BEHIND THE LABEL

Produttori di Manduria is Puglia's oldest cooperative, set up in 1932 with just 17 growers, who, nowadays have over 400 members who collectively, cultivate more than 2,000 hectares of vines. Many of them are small growers and farm organically. The winery showcases the rich wine heritage of the Puglia region and is renowned for producing high-quality wines from the Primitivo grape, especially Primitivo di Manduria. In 2020 Produttori di Manduria was awarded the Tre Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso.
