Energetic, Fruity & Silky Hautes-Côtes de Nuits

The wine shows a brilliant ruby colour with violet reflections, indicative of its vibrant youth. The nose is an explosion of crunchy red fruits - notably cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry - enhanced by delicate hints of spices. On the palate, it is immediately fresh and energetic, driven by a chiselled acidity. The texture is silky and ethereal, supported by remarkably fine tannins that structure the wine, leading to a long finish where the pure fruit persists.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

The grapes are manually harvested and 100% destemmed. Vinification includes a cold pre-fermentation phase of 3 to 5 days, followed by alcoholic fermentation lasting 18 to 20 days in temperature-regulated stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for 12 months in oak barrels (25% new oak). It is bottled by the Domaine. The source vineyard covers 1.70 hectares with an average vine age of 30 years, planted on clay-limestone soil.

Ah Sauvignon...Easy to drink, easy on the pallet.

Very nice white wine. I enjoyed it both ways. Simply having a glass with friends while we chatted and equally well while eating a lovely meal with my husband. Subtle on the pallet and no sharp after aftertaste. I wish people would tell you that! Would highly recommend. Enjoy...drink sensibly.
