Concentrated & Mineral Aligoté

This cuvée is a wink to the brothers Albert and Maurice who were in love with this grape variety. Inviting aromas of citrus introduce a lively, well-focused palate with impressive concentration and a mineral backbone. The finish is clean, dry, and mildly austere. This finely made Aligoté will offer immediate drinking pleasure upon release.

Aged 12 months in large oak barrels

Cellaring: Drink now to 2028

Food Pairing:Perfect with snails in garlic butter, grilled sardines with lemon and sea salt. It also stands up well to notoriously challenging pairings like asparagus and smoked salmon with Hollandaise sauce, and shines alongside a platter of tangy goat and soft cheeses. | 🌡️ Serve slightly chilled, around 10 -12 °C

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

The craft of viticulture has been in the Derey family's genes since 1650, when the family first made their mark in the Burgundy vineyards.In 1850, Claude Derey founded the estate in the commune of Couchey. Since then, six generations have carried on the tradition, expanding the estate through new acquisitions of these clay-limestone soils, the cradle of all great Burgundy wines.Today, the estate covers 20 hectares, spread across the communes of Dijon, Marsannay, Fixin, and Gevrey Chambertin

Ah Sauvignon...Easy to drink, easy on the pallet.

Very nice white wine. I enjoyed it both ways. Simply having a glass with friends while we chatted and equally well while eating a lovely meal with my husband. Subtle on the pallet and no sharp after aftertaste. I wish people would tell you that! Would highly recommend. Enjoy...drink sensibly.
