STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Gamin was the last horse owned by Nicolas’s grandfather - a loyal companion who helped tend the vines for many years. Today, the old stable has been lovingly restored and turned into a spacious, welcoming guesthouse named in his honor: L’Écurie de Gamin. 

Domaine Cailhol Gautran is a fifth-generation, family-run winery nestled in the Minervois region of southern France. Spanning 55 hectares on the limestone-rich Cazelles plateau, it produces certified organic AOC Minervois wines. Committed to sustainability, the estate employs minimal intervention winemaking, including sulfite-free reds and aging in amphorae, to authentically express its unique terroir.
