The Acón Roble opens with an intense, beautifully balanced, and elegant nose. It bursts with attractive aromas of ripe red and black berries, layered perfectly with rich notes of concentrated fruit, dark chocolate, liquorice, and cocoa. On the palate, you will find a warm, spicy, and toasty profile complemented by delicious hints of toffee and coffee, all leading into a wonderfully enveloping and persistent finish.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

In 1953 Norberto Carrasco installed concrete vats at a time when there were relatively few wineries in the area. He learnt to combine concrete and wood to produce fine, fruity, mature and elegant wines. Today his grandson José Antonio Carrasco has inherited his vision for the family winery. They farm 43 hectares, of which 95% are Tempranillo with tiny amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
