    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Château Coufran is owned by Marie-Cécile Vicaire and Eric Miailhe. The wine castle includes 76 hectares of Graves land in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, just next to Saint-Estèphe in the Pauillac canton. Within the  Haut-Medoc appellation, it's Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne that benefits the most from the influence of the mouth of the Gironde and the Atlantic. 85% of the grapes grown are Merlot and the rest is Cabernet Sauvignon. The average age of the vines is 40 years.
