Smooth, creamy and Compex Vin Jaune -The emblem of the Jura's terroir

Brilliant golden yellow robe. A smooth and creamy wine, with great aromatic complexity dominated by walnut, hazelnut, morel, and almond, enhanced by spices. Beautifully balanced, this full-bodied and harmonious wine. A veil of yeast forms on the surface of the wine, protecting it from oxidation. It is during this long aging process that it acquires its  aromas and flavours of earthy mushrooms, walnuts, almonds, and warm curry spices such as curcuma, cumin, coriander and fenugreek.

    • 100% Savagnin
    • Aged 6 years under flor yeast (known as 'The Voile')
    • Concours Generale Agricole - Paris 2026 | Gold Medal
    Cellaring:  Ideal now through 2069
Food Pairing:  An absolute standout alongside aged Comté (18+ months) and walnuts, this Vin Jaune perfectly echoes those rich, nutty flavours. For a truly legendary experience, pair it with Poulet de Bresse in a decadent morel/mushroom cream sauce. Beyond these regional classics, its incredible depth and spicy undertones make it a surprisingly phenomenal match for sophisticated Indian or Japanese fare! | 🌡️ Serve at a temperature between 13 and 16ºC.

    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Winemakers from father to son for 10 generations, Domaine Badoz is located in Poligny, in the heart of the Jura wine region (smallest in France) on the foothills of the Jura Mountains. The estate's vineyards comprose the historic plots of "Les Roussots" and "Les Grands Roussots," composed of Triassic and Lias marl and schistous clay. Benoît took over in 2003 and thanks to his journey, which took him from Puligny-Montrachet to Château Petrus, he chooses to produce wines that respect the typicity of the terroir and traditional grape varieties of the Jura region.

Ranked among the greatest wines in France, Vin Jaune is made exclusively from the Savagnin grape variety. Grown on the blue marl soils of the Jura, it is aged in oak barrels for at least 60 months under a flor yeast known as "The Voile", without compensating for the evaporation of roughly one-third of its volume.  Vin Jaune is the emblem of the Jura's terroir and winemaking expertise. It is a dry wine with a truly unique colour and flavour.
