A trousseau of great finesse, with luscious fruit and elegant tannins

Flavours of red and dark summer berries, but with a certain earthiness and a fragrant, subtle floral character. Jancis Robinson describes Trousseau as a cross between the structure of Pinot Noir and the fruit of Cabernet Franc.

    • 100% Trousseau
    • From "Les Grands Roussots" vineyard
    • Concours Générale Agricole - Paris 2026 | Gold Medal
    Cellaring:  Ideal now through 2033
Food Pairing:  Excellent pairings for Trousseau include charcuterie selections with saucisson sec, rustic terrines, and smoked pork sausages, as well as roasted pork tenderloin, seared duck breast, and roast chicken. It also goes beautifully with earthy dishes like mushroom risotto, herb-roasted root vegetables, and hearty French lentil stews. For a cheese course, regional favorites like Comté, Morbier, and Mont d'Or, along with mild Gruyère or earthy Camembert, are all fantastic choices to serve alongside this wine | 🌡️ Serve at a temperature around 14-16ºC.

    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Winemakers from father to son for 10 generations, Domaine Badoz is located in Poligny, in the heart of the Jura wine region (smallest in France) on the foothills of the Jura Mountains. The estate's vineyards comprose the historic plots of "Les Roussots" and "Les Grands Roussots," composed of Triassic and Lias marl and schistous clay. Benoît took over in 2003 and thanks to his journey, which took him from Puligny-Montrachet to Château Petrus, he chooses to produce wines that respect the typicity of the terroir and traditional grape varieties of the Jura region.

Benoit Badoz cultivates 'Trousseau à la Dame' - a premium, historic selection of the native grape - in the prized Les Grands Roussots vineyard. Rooted in rich triassic red marl (marne rouge), it is the absolute ideal terroir for this varietal to truly shine
