Delicious, Bold and refreshing Organic Lambrusco

Dry and sparkling with earthy raspberry, wild strawberries and meadow flowers. The palate shows intense flavours of cranberry and black cherry as well as a crunchy tannins, delicate bubbles and some spice on the finish. Bold and refreshing, this is not your typical Lambrusco. In style and execution, this Ponente 270 sits at the crossroads between Champagne and deep-fruited Rosé. Nicely structured, enticing and made for sharing.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Fermentations occur spontaneously in steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, accompanied by a 4-5 day maceration on the skins. The second fermentation always takes place spontaneously in the bottle without disgorging, leaving the yeasts in suspension. Thanks to producers like Denny Bini, Lambrusco is enjoying a renaissance of late. The spiritual home of this family of grapes is North-East Italy’s Emilia-Romagna. The quality and range of styles now being produced here has opened up another frontier for those of us who like fruity and crowd-pleasing wines.
