Founded in 1977 in the DOC area of Bolgheri, Grattamacco has been a pioneer in the creation of extraordinary "super Tuscans." With its innovative blending of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sangiovese, Grattamacco's wines have earned global acclaim. The estate's vineyards, situated at an altitude of 100m, enjoy a total area of 80 hectares, producing exceptional grapes in silt and red sandy soil.
Was founded in 1998 and is part of the Montecucco DOC area in Upper Maremma, a territory which is ideal for the growing of Sangiovese, and situated between the DOCG areas of Brunello di Montalcino and Morellino di Scansano. The first vintage produced was 2000. The wines at this beautiful estate are organic and sensational. Gambero Rosso voted this winery, winery of the year 2014.
