JOAN DANGUERA ALTAROSES, 2019

92 Points: "An inviting nose is layered with nuances of bright berry fruit, raspberry jam, cherry and rosehip plus a flicker of vanilla and herbal aromas. Its juicy red core takes centre stage with cherry liqueur and a touch of prunes. Integrated alcohol makes this seem much lighter than its high ABV suggests. Many wines from Montsant need food to temper their full-bodied, broody nature, but this ahs a lightness of touch that makes it palatable on its own."
