Why Buy Me
Fiano is one of the many fantastic white grapes worth investigating for all lovers of white wine. Packed with delicious ripe green apple and juicy pear fruit, there's a lovely unexpected orange peal citrus zip to the finish. Basically it's the Southern Mediterranean in a glass, serve with sea urchin, as the label suggests(if you're that adverturous) , but fresh garlicky prawns or breaded calamari will also make this wine sing.
The scent is intense and complex, with hints of sweet white fruit (apple and pear), expresses a delicate floral bouquet of orange flowers. On the palate the taste is dry, of good structure, fresh, justly sapid, it fully recalls the olfactory sensations.
90 Points: "The nose here is expressive, with a mineral salinity, hints of white pepper, nectarines and a floral bouquet finish. On the palate, it is reminiscent of viognier with clean, fresh stone fruit, apple and vibrant Williams pear, plus an undercurrent of juicy watermelon. There's a good body and waxy mouthfeel with delicate balance and structure, making this a suitable pairing for firm white fish such as turbot, a seafood risotto or succulent roast chicken."
