 STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Côte du Py is the heart of the Morgon appellation. It is the supreme reference point for all terroir of Beaujolais itself. It is a hill with a volcanic origin and the wines from here are distinctly rich, spicy and powerful. While 2021 was a small harvest here for winemakers, this in turn produces wines of distinct concentration. This wine is a perfect example of why top quality Beaujolais wines are being spoken in the same breath as its Burgundian Pinot Noir neighbours.
