STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Vineyards blanket Ioannis Vatistas' lands alongside the famed Monemvasia and its famous Malvazia varietal. In 1986, Ioannis' estate at Agios Nikolaos saw the first of his systematically cultivated vineyards, with more emerging on the slopes of Pantanassa in that same year. Driven by his passion and love for winemaking, 1990 saw Ioannis establish an intimate winery among the vines and bottle his first wines. Since then, an unwavering commitment to vine cultivation and hard work is what's ensured a crop of incomparable quality. This is thanks to the microclimate of the region and the varietal composition of the sea-hugging vineyards. His success in both Greek and international markets speaks volumes of his endeavour and effort.
