STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

“Beerenauslese” is the German wine-making term for a category of grapes that are harvested late and are infected with Noble Rot. This is the fungus that contributes to many of the world’s greatest dessert wines and your first tasting of it is one you wont forget. It takes a supremely skilled artisan in the winery to make it. Rated as one of Austria’s most outstanding producers year after year, Franz Türk is one such winemaker. It’s no coincidence that we stock a wide range of his wines in our shop. We’re big fans here and we may eventually have to dedicate a section to him!
