While preparing the soil for replanting, a team discovered Acheulean hand-axes - tools crafted by humans during the Stone Age. This discovery was significant as the property was previously deemed unsuitable for crops due to the abundance of rocks.

They realised that the soil and rocks were the true history and heritage of the property.
As custodians of the farm, the Stellenzicht team believes in protecting natural resources through sustainable farming practices that protect biodiversity and promote balance.

They honor the farm's history and existing soil by planting the right varieties in the ideal location, nurturing the terroir and biodiversity around the vineyards, and looking to nature for guidance. They adapt to maintain balance and continue the legacy of producing exceptional wines, including the award-winning Stellenzicht Syrah grown from the original block.

This Red Blend is a modern interpretation of the classic Helderberg blend comprising Cinsault, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. This fruit-forward wine with soft tannins strikes the perfect balance between tradition and elegance, offering a delightful drinking experience when shared with friends!
